Other Things About Me:
I can't read music, never took a singing or guitar lesson, and I'm still doing this after 12 years! haha! "When I am weak, He is strong!".

I know Karate, Judo, and 3 other Japanese words!

I love chocolate chip cookies with pecans. I love gummy bears. I eat my pancakes dry and mustard makes me cough! (I guess that makes me pretty normal!)

I've been to Uganda, East Africa 4 times to lead worship for over 1000 orphan children. That's where I got my stage name "Uncle Charlie". The children who speak English call all adults outside their family "Uncles and Aunties", just as we would say Ma'am and Sir, or Mr. and Mrs.

My story is a miracle! I was the only survivor of high speed head on collision in November 2007 while on tour, with both vehicles doing 65mph at impact. after nearly 18 months of recovery, I am back singing and touring full time! God is a God of miracles! (See my full story on my blog. It's a doozie!)

Charlie, I just wanted to tell you again how good it was to see you last week. My kids loved you and for good reason. You really do a great job up there on stage getting the kids to stay involved in the worship experience. The story that you have been given in the midst of you wreck is incredible and I love that you are using it to bring people to Christ. I hope you get some good time at home with the wife and I look forward to seeing you again soon. Love ya man!

It was so great having you in the Detroit area this past weekend! The event was a huge success, a life time memory for many, if not all, of those kids!! Both young and old had a great time!!

Thanks again, for EVERYTHING!!

Hey Charlie,
For some reason I didn't get the earlier comment or I don't remember responding to it. I am currently working a Educational Coordinator for Childcare Network in North Carolina. Still working with children and teachers but in the secular environment. It's was tough at first, but I love it and the kid's. I share a lot about my faith on a regular basis. I really feel like the Lord closed the door for me in CM in the church capacity, but I still minister to children. As far as serving in the church, I am supporting my husband who is a musician. He is part of our Praise band. Check out our website sometime www.cf2.us. We are continuing to grow. I have been asked to Preach on Mother's Day. I am not a preacher, but I am a speaker/teacher. I feel like for now this is what the Lord is wanting me to do. I also facilitate a Home Team or Life Group. Really miss all the Children's Ministry stuff, but know that door is not where the Lord wants me right now. That really bothered me at first. I always felt that a calling like that was for a lifetime, but now I know it isn't always. The experience with my previous church was very hurtful and sad, but I think I am getting past it. Kind of felt like I was hit head on, similar to the accident I was in a couple years ago. I will survive with the Lords help and friends prayers.
Thanks ~ praying for you!!!!!

Hey Uncle Chuck! Thanks for checking in on me, you are so kind. We are powering through day by day. When this treatment started I thought "six months! No problem!" Wahoo -- it has been a journey!!! I am approaching the halfway mark and am so grateful. The chemo month really took it out of me, my body had some serious rebellion to that. The second chemo month starts soon and I remain trusting in God's grace and guidance. I, too, have relied on the prayers and encouragements of friends and the Scripture deep in my heart. God is good. And I, too, can't wait to see the good that comes from all of this. He has taught me a lot and apparently I am still a'learning! I appreciate the prayers, each day brings something new to trust Him for. I have a h ope of seeing everyone at CPC again next year. That is one of my visual pictures I am holding on to. One of many.
We keep praying for you and look forward to seeing you on stage!

Hey Charlie,
How's it going? KidZone loves your music and wants to say THANKS for making praise and worship FUN!
We are really into Vol 10,11 and 12. My kids have entered into a place of worship where we are consistently sensing the presence of the Lord. Bonkers is our fun opener and many times we just get crazy and sing it twice. We did a SPIN contest between teachers and kids to see how many times we could sing it in a row. The teachers fell short on the third time. Who needs FitTV, just sing Spin a few times.
I look forward to getting to know you more through CMConnect!

Hey Charlie,
Sad news, I stepped down as Children's Minister. I felt the Lord wanted me to do that. There are a good group of people who have taken over for now, until the Lord sends someone else to lead. The church is going great. We have been meeting in a school for a little over 2 months now. In a rural community things move a little slower than in the city, church website - underconstruction. www.cf2.us.
Continuing praying for you, I know how tough it is for you still. Been there.
Thanks Judy

Hey Charlie! I am doing better each day and according to this week's lab work my body is responding positively to this treatment! Praise God! Erin got married this Sunday which was lovely and a blessing. And then my sister in California passed out Sunday evening. We are having a little bit of a tumultuous year! What would we do without prayer? And, yes, we did go see the Children's Choir. Erin and I smiled and laughed so much our faces hurt. They were fantastic! Are you doing well?
